Under the supervision of the electric crew leader the apprentice works on a crew to construct, install and repair electric transmission, distribution, and secondary systems. The apprentice performs the function of a line worker in a training capacity to become familiar with methods, tools and equipment used in the electric field. The apprentice will assist with maintaining electrical equipment and systems in village owned buildings, sewer lift stations, water pump houses, and other structure and completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications include: high school diploma, valid Michigan CDL or must be able to obtain one. Must have two years of prior electric training in an accredited program.
